DJ NORI

’In 1986, he moved to the U.S. and played with Larry Levan. In the movie "Maestro", he appeared as one of the most influential pioneers in the world dance music scene. In '06, he released his first mix album "LOFT MIX". In '09, he held "DJ NORI 30TH ANNIVERSARY", the culmination of his career. In June 2013, he started a new group called "Tree" at Aoyama Zero. In the same year, he released "Spirit Of Sunshine - Nori's West End Mix" from , a mix of and sound sources, which became a popular series overseas as well. He also has a deep relationship with the brilliant producer Maurice Fulton, and his EP, "We Don't Know EP" (Running Back / Bubbletease Communications), which contains the songs they produced together, has been highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad. He is also active in music production. On November 25, 2015, he released another mix CD, "Take the N Train -Nori's Mix-" from . In 2017, he released "GHETTO DISCO: Nori's T.K. Disco Session", a DJ mix CD selected from the vast catalog of TK Records, a treasure trove of dance classics. In addition to his regular parties at Shibuya Contact, he appeared at the Boiler Room anniversary party and released a mix CD "DIGGIN' DISCO" in 2018. Also in 2018, he released the mix CD "DIGGIN' DISCO. As someone who experienced New York in real life, he appeared at "C'5 Vol. 2: Keith Haring Night with Red Bull Music Academy Workshop session (2017)" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the NAKAMURA Keith Haring Museum. He also contributed comments to the exhibition "Pop, Music & Street: The Town Keith Haring Loved, Omotesando (2018). With a career spanning nearly 40 years, he continues to be active in all aspects of culture, not just music. As a DJ who knows how to express music itself, he has earned his reputation as a VIP in the music scene.
