Fran-key(Crue-L)

With an omnichord in one hand and an MPC in the other, Fran-Key is a DJ/sound and mood-maker from Shonan. His debut was in 2004 with the release of the 12”single "Tetrapod Love" on Crue-L Records. He participated in the SPUTNIK Beach House event that opened on Tsujido Beach, and in THE BUS, a project to traverse Japan on a double-decker bus..

After releasing the mini album "Ecstacy Romance" in 2005, and the mix CD "Ocean Pacific Peace" in 2007, he formed the band FRAN-KEY, CRYSTAL & ROGER with three contemporary DJs. Their 2009 album, "Last Night A DJ...Dreamed To Be A Band," was praised by domestic and international artists such as Cornelius, Rub N Tug, and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. After performing with DJ Harvey at the Enoshima OPPA-LA, where he is a resident DJ, he moved to Okinawa and released his second mix CD "Summer134" in 2011, and the 12" single "Franbrain" featuring remixes by Luger E-Go a.k.a Kenji Takimi and Foolish Felix. He also participated in GRACE, a doll-making event held in Taiwan and Hong Kong run by Jun Takahashi of UNDERCOVER. He is currently developing his chill and imaginative attitude by keeping his life unpredictable.
